Edith Cowan University (ECU)

Named after Edith Dircksey Cowan, the first Australian woman to serve as a member of the parliament, the Edith Cowan University (ECU) was established in 1991. Based in Western Australia, ECU is one of the GenY institutions known for its extraordinary teaching quality in Australia. The University values diversity in its student population – over 4000 international students from more than 100 countries study at ECU each year.

Scholarships & funding

International Undergraduate Scholarship

The International Undergraduate Scholarship is offered to international students from selected countries. The scholarship offers a 20% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of their course at ECU which can be worth more than AUD20,000.

Merit International Postgraduate Scholarship

The Merit International Postgraduate Scholarship is offered to international students who can demonstrate high levels of academic achievement and English competency in their previous studies and who wish to study a postgraduate course at ECU.

International Accommodation Scholarship

The International Accommodation Scholarship offers students a 50% reduction in accommodation fees for their first year of accommodation at ECU (Mount Lawley campus, 2018 only).

ECU School of Science Excellence Scholarships

ECU is offering scholarships valued at AUD15,000 to high performing students commencing an undergraduate degree programme within the School of Science.

ECU Melbourne and ECU Sydney Scholarships

ECU has recently expanded its course offering to Melbourne and Sydney. International students wishing to start their studies at one of these new and vibrant locations, may be eligible for a scholarship that provides a 10% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of their course.
